Death Notice

Peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2013, James “Jim” Malcolm Grasse passed away at Bluewater Health at the age of 76. Loving father of James Jr. and his wife Melissa. Cherished grandfather of Zoe, Jackson and Carter. Dear brother of Charles “Sonny” Grasse and his family. Jim was a welder and loved to build boats. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed meeting at coffee shops to chat with his friends. Jim will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  Cremation has taken place. An open house to celebrate Jim’s life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Family Centre (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health Palliative Care or Trillium Villa Nursing Home (cheques only at the funeral home please).

Visitation

An open house to celebrate Jim’s life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Family Centre (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health Palliative Care or Trillium Villa Nursing Home (cheques only at the funeral home please).

    I had the PLEASURE of caring for James at Trillium Villa Nursing home and am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a kind, considerate man who was never demanding and always very appreciative of the staffs help. May your soul rest in peace James, you will be missed. My condolences to the family, of which he was extremely proud of!!
