It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved mother Margaret Elizabeth Taylor (nee Armstrong), on Wednesday, the 10th of May, at Petrolia Hospital. Margaret was surrounded by her daughter Lori Ann Perron (nee Taylor) and son-in-law Paul Gordon Perron. Born in 1935 on July 3rd in Corunna, Ontario, Margaret was a switchboard operator for 20 years at Sears and had many friends that she remembered fondly; and was a dear friend of Jim and Virginia Arnold. Margaret was a confident, beautiful and strong woman whose greatest joy in life was being the best mother that she could be to her beloved daughters, Lori Ann Perron and Cheryl Irene Winder. Margaret was predeceased by: her best friend and husband of 58 years, Lorne Allen Taylor (1998) – Lorne and Margaret were inseparable and the greatest parents Lori and Paul could have wished for, they are now together again; her parents Walter Armstrong and Erla Armstrong (nee Tyhurst); her beloved sister Sylvia June Simmons (nee Armstrong) and her husband Floyd; and dear brother Ronald Armstrong, I don’t know how my mother would have made it through life without her caring siblings; sister-in-law Bernice Taylor; brother and sister-in-law Marianne and Bob Taylor; Tom and Dorothy Paton, both of whom were like siblings to Margaret; and Allen and Gertrude Taylor, Margaret’s father and mother-in-law. Margaret is survived by her daughters Lori and Cheryl and their spouses; grandsons Duane and Brian Winder; granddaughter Shelby Winder; sister-in-law Ethyl Armstrong, wife of Ronald, and brother-in-law Gord Perry husband of Bernice. As well as dear friends Sandy Perron, John Yarkovsky and my dear nephew and god-son Austin Taylor West, without their support this tragic time would be insurmountable. Margaret will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews and all who were fortunate enough to have had her in their lives. We love you dearly mom and dad and you will forever be in our hearts.
Margaret Elizabeth Taylor (nee Armstrong)

Lori and family. I am so sorry to read of your mom's passing. I will always remember her from Sears for that wonderful sense of humour and great laugh. She was always so friendly to me and I appreciated knowing I could always have a chat with her. I know you will hurt for awhile but take solace in knowing how much she loved you and how much your care for her allowed to her to live a happier and comforting life over the years.
Condolences will be posted once approved by our staff.
