Peacefully at Afton Park Place on Friday, November 3, 2017 Jacqueleen “Jacque” Barnes passed away at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late Lowell Barnes. Loving mother of Troy (Tracy) and Tressa (Scott) Brown. Cherished grandmother of Connor, Daniel, Leine and Paddy. Dear sister of Gertrude Ann (late Joe) Hurst, Patty (late Peter) Honsinger, Margaret (Fred) VanHorne, Bill (Shirley) Arthur, and sister-in-law of Brian (Joanne) Barnes. Predeceased by her parents John and Ann Arthur and her in-laws Tom and Rosemary Barnes. Jacque was a member of the Sarnia Girls Soccer Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and The Purples Ladies Club. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Residence on the St. Clair, Trillium Villa and Afton Park Place for the care and compassion they all gave over the years. Cremation has taken place.

ServiceA memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, 718 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia, at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will be held in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery, 190 Wilson Ave., St. Thomas, on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.

Although we did not Jacque well, on the few occasion when we were together, we quickly recognized what a beautiful person she was and will always be in your hearts and in your memories.
