My deepest sympathies to Jenni and the family of Rick. I remember him from youth group - many years ago - at the United Church on London Line. I believe his mother or aunt was somehow related to my mother - Berenice Mott Gander so we would often joke that we were 'related'!
He was a happy and fun-loving person who always made others feel special. I'm sorry for your loss.

Goodbye Uncle Rick. I will miss our conversations and sharing laughs about any number of things from motorcycles to movies and music or sometimes just everyday happenings, always with a slightly off kilter, slightly cynical and humorous angle. You had a great, intelligent laugh...somewhere between a giggle and smirk and often followed by something quietly witty.
I always looked up to your work ethic and attention to detail. I also fondly remember the way that you loved and respected Aunt Jenni. I’ll never forget the stories of re-renovating parts of the basement until exact matrimonial specifications were achieved. ;)
The last several years were mostly conversations at the Dunn Christmas party but I often thought of you and Aunt Jenni and always missed you throughout the entire year. I’m glad that I was able to say goodbye even if it was over the phone.
My earliest memories are filled with pictures of you in 70’s outfits and you’ve always been part of my life. I’ll always remember being completely amazed at your old Dodge Charger(being a huge fan of The Dukes of Hazzard and all). I also think of you every time I play the super cool, old 60’s Sears EKO guitar that you dug out of your basement and gave to me several years ago.
You’ll be dearly missed Uncle Rick but I know that you’re somewhere watching over us and smiling.
Love Kris :)
