    Dear Judy,
I am so saddened to hear that Bill has passed away. Every memory I have of Blackwell United Church is tied to him. He had a unique gift of being able to talk to anyone, helping them feel at ease. He has taught me much about dedication and service for the simple joy of it. I love the photo chosen of him at the old church - it is lovely and brings a smile to my face. Hugs to you. - Lisa and family

Judy and family it is with great remorse that I have just heard of Bill's passing, too late to attend to give my support to you. However, know that you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. It has been a pleasure to get to know you over the years and especially over the last few months. To appreciate your interests and devotion in the church, Lambton Wildlife, Bill's love for mathematics, nature, travel and farming. His stalwart honesty represented the strength of his character; your property on Blackwell a testament to your appreciation of nature. Cherish the good memories you have forever. Blessings, Doug

As a member of Grace church men's club ,Bill regaled us with many stories of his students and teaching of math over the years. His travels with Judy to many places ( that others would not think going to) were related to us with much detail and fond reflection. His stories about his ancestry and family provided a great insight to the local history and culture. I will miss his smiling face at our men's group on Wednesday morning as well as his many reflections on life.God bless.

Condolences to all the family. Bill was a remarkable person with a multitude of talents. One of his passions was history and in that realm family history took precedence. Bill and Judith's work on the Burnley family history is paramount. The hours of research, miles travelled, dollars invested, the steadfast dedication to the cause, produced a remarkable and beautiful Burnley family history book. Bound in hard cover it is treasured among all who own one. Often referenced and definitely passed on to the next generation, the foundation of roots for all included is something we are all proud of. Thank you forever.

    Judy and Family,
I am saddened to read of Bill's passing. As a friendly visitor from Leo, he shared his Tuesday afternoons for 6 years, enriching Chris's life during his dementia journey and providing time and support to me. I hope he was aware of how important these visits were to both of us. Thank you, Bill and Judy.
