Dear Annette, Blessings are sent your way for a glimpse of peace in your heart, during this difficult time of loosing your wonderful husband, Bill. His memory with the "Marching Angels" will always remain with me. I was a part of your group during my pre and highschool years. I can not thank you and your husband enough, for beginning this marching band. Fond memories of all the parades throughout Canada (Expo-Montreal) and USA. have remained with me. Know, your time and efforts through those years were appreciated from a youth growing up. Blessings, Monica Trapani (Kalinski)

Dear Annette and Family, my deepest sympathy to all of you. Many wonderful memories of my days with the Marching Angels 1960+ and the wonderful leader Bill was with his girls will never be forgotten. Bus trips, many towns and cities I would never have seen if it weren't for such a wonderful man. May you keep your memories close to your heart and you now have your own special Angel in Heaven. RIP Bill

If there ever was a profoundly positive influence in my life other than the parents, it was Bill Mann and his Marching Angels. In today’s age of misogyny, sexual harassment and the good old boys club perpetrator, Mr Bill epitomized all that was wonderful to demonstrate support for the guidance of the young female spirit back when I was 12 y/o. He was a like minded non-native who I came to respect and trust in the same way I respected and trusted my own Aamjiwnaang biological father. I remember the exact moment learning the definition of Respect while on a field trip with the MAs. I had powerful male roles models in these two men. Being in the MA, shaped my character and fueled my lifelong belief that I was worthy and could accomplish what I put my mind to. Gratitude is such a small word to say thank you for your place in my life, Bill Mann. Deep condolences and Love to your family.
