Grace and Carolyn and Families. Our sincere love prayers & condolences go to you all on the passing of your Dad and loving Pastor to so many people who came to know him. I vividly remember him at the Barry Moore crusade many years ago when he took my hands and showed me the way to the Lord. As a result of his love & patient caring Grant, Kimberley & Nick also came to know Jesus and he baptized each one of us. He was the one who held our precious Lyndsay-Anne in his arms and blessed and dedicated her to the Lord. He was the one who led Grant & I in the renewal of our vows on our 10th wedding anniversary. He will always hold such a precious place in out hearts.

May the God of comfort and peace surround Pastor McLeod's family. He was a wonderful faithful joyful servant of Christ. He blessed many in the Free Methodist Church in Southwest Ontario including me.

We are grateful for Rev McLeod's consistent and ongoing testimony to the transforming power of God through sharing his own faith experiences and his encouagement of others in their journey of faith. His years of service at Thornbury were and are cherished by many.

Grace, Carolyn and families Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time as you grieve over the loss of your father yet we also rejoice with you in memories of him. I fondly remember my younger years back at 5th Avenue and of Rev. Herb and family. He had a gentle manner and kind spirit yet one knew he was a man of God. Years later, we enjoyed reconnecting during our time in the London area and visiting him and family at Thamesford camp. May God continue to give you comfort and peace during this time. Barrie

My first memory of Pastor McLeod was when my parents brought us to the Free Methodist Church many years ago. I remember him hovering me as he greeted me. I remember him being soft spoken and also caring person. My deep sorrow is with the family especially the Campbell's which the Wu family will always be friends with. J.Wu Port Dover,ON

Our sincere sympathy to Grace, Bob,Kevin, Brent, great grandchildren and Carolyn. Herb was so wonderful to our family. Without his love, caring and faith in God, the Ferguson family would not be following God today. He gently led us to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour - all 8 of us! Herb has received his reward in heaven. He was a Pastor at heart. We will miss him.

Tom and Jan Gurnick | April 17, 2013 11:14am
We would like to offer our condolences to the family. I (Tom) grew up attending a Free Methodist church, but knew very few people beyond our local congregation. Herb was one of the first pastors we met as we were entering the Conference in a pastoral capacity. He was always such an encouraging person. In fact, many years later, after his retirement, we would receive calls from Herb 2 or 3 times a year just to see how we were doing, to encourage us in the ministry and to ask for any ways that he could pray for us. He is one of those people about whom we can truly say that we thank God upon every remembrance of him. Praying the Lord's comfort and grace on his family. Tom and Jan Gurnick Niagara Falls

Our deepest condolences to all family. Rev. McLeod's ministry shaped much of our early lives. He will be fondly remembered by us. My condolences and prayers are with you all. I have varied memories of Uncle Herb and will cherish them always. Dad (Dalton) and I are thinking of you in this time and keeping you in our prayers. He has reached the promise that God has given to us all and now he is with Aunt Ruth and Mom (Shirley) continuing to watch over us all. Take comfort in knowing although Jesus has called them home to their rewards that he is still with us and comforting us with His arms around us.
Ron Carol Campbell | April 16, 2013 07:13pm
Our condolences to the family at this time. I know you the family will miss the loss of your loved one. But look at what Rev. McLeod gained. He has finally realized what he has preached about all these years. He has finally stepped into the presence of God Almighty and his Son, Jesus, who did so much for those Rev. Mcleod shared Christ's love with and that love changed the lives of those who listened. Yes, the family will miss him a lot, but to just know that their loved one, Rev. Herb McLeod, is enjoying the benefits of a Heavenly Home., that should bring a smile of confidence on all our faces. remember Romans 8:35-38 during your time of sorrow---God's love will not be denied you. he promised. My condolences to the family. Herb and his wife were 2 special people in my life when I joined the Free Methodist church at Charlemont, and Area meetings were still held. Herb helped me with wisdom when I was participating in the Conference youth program leadership. He was very caring whenever we met. Now he and Grant can have times together with all the other friends in Heaven. Margaret Martin

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family at this time. Pastor Herb was always a friend and inspiration to us through the years of serving in the Free Methodist Church. This was especially so in the early '70's when we were at Charlemont Free Methodist Church and the McLeod's pastored the Sarnia Free Methodist Church. Pastor Herb was a spiritual example and always an encouragement to us. We count it a privilege and blessing to have been friends and co-workers with Pastor Herb and his wife Ruth.
Stephen Beverly Bond | April 16, 2013 03:38pm
Our sympathies are with you all at this time. Unfortunately we live too far away to be able to attend the funeral. Pastor Herb was serving at the Thornbury FM Church when Steve and I moved to the Camplin Farm twenty-five years ago. He was the first visitor we had at our new home. In fact I didn't hear him knock and he walked in and surprised me while I was busy unpacking. Three months later he dedicated our daughter Stephanie when she was six months old. Ruth took very good care of our daughter in the nursery as well. We appreciated so much the ministry of both your parents to our family at that time. Steve and I are now full-time ministers of the gospel with the FM Church and Stephanie is a full-time missionary with the African Children's Choir/Music For Life. Pastor Herb and Ruth both have a special place in our hearts and lives. Our prayers are with you all at this time. Pastor Stephen and Bev Bond Kingston West Free Methodist Church
